Accessibility statement.
Last updated: 2026-05-11
1. Our commitment
bbuddy is committed to making the product and marketing site usable for people of all abilities. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA across the marketing pages and the in-app dashboard.
2. What we test for
- Keyboard navigation: Every interactive element is reachable and operable without a mouse.
- Screen reader support: Semantic landmarks, alt text on meaningful images, ARIA labels on icon buttons.
- Colour contrast: Body text and interactive elements meet WCAG AA contrast ratios in both light and dark themes.
- Reduced motion: Animations respect the prefers-reduced-motion media query (marquees pause, hero pulses calm down).
- Resizable text: The layout reflows at 200% zoom without horizontal scrolling on standard viewports.
- Form labels: Every input has a programmatic label and validation feedback is announced.
3. Where we stand today
The marketing pages and onboarding flow have been audited against WCAG 2.1 AA. The in-app dashboard is audited at every release; known gaps are tracked publicly.
We are working on:
- Improved focus rings on glass-surface buttons
- Captions for product demo videos (when published)
- A high-contrast theme for users who need it beyond what dark mode provides
- Keyboard-only scheduling on the calendar view
4. Assistive technology compatibility
bbuddy is tested with recent versions of the following assistive technologies:
- VoiceOver on macOS (Safari) and iOS
- NVDA on Windows (Firefox, Edge)
- JAWS on Windows (Chrome)
- TalkBack on Android (Chrome)
If you use a different combination and run into issues, write to us. We add new combinations to our test matrix as users surface them.
5. Reporting an issue
If you find an accessibility problem, please write to [email protected] with the subject "Accessibility". Include the page or screen, the assistive technology you were using, and what happened. We aim to acknowledge within one business day and ship a fix within two weeks for clear barriers.
6. Formal complaint
If a barrier prevents you from accessing the service and our response does not resolve it, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the relevant national authority. In France, this is the Défenseur des droits.
7. Standards we follow
- WCAG 2.1 Level AA
- EN 301 549 (European public sector standard, used as a reference)
- Section 508 of the US Rehabilitation Act, where relevant
8. Changes to this statement
This statement is updated as we close gaps and add new features. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent change.
